U.S. pork exports to Mexico are on track for a record-setting year, underscoring the strength of trade partnerships across North America and the rising demand for quality agricultural products. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), September saw 91,492 metric tons (mt) of U.S. pork exported to Mexico—a 3% increase from the previous year—highlighting the robust trade flow between the two nations.

In total, pork exports to Mexico climbed 7% in volume (850,204 mt) and 12% in value ($1.89 billion) through September, with the year-end export value expected to surpass $2.5 billion. This strong performance is helping drive economic growth within the U.S. agricultural sector, contributing nearly $20 in value per hog processed and supporting trade stability in the region.

The continued upward trend of pork exports to Mexico reflects the mutual benefits of strong U.S.-Mexico trade ties. It showcases the critical role of agricultural exports in bolstering North American trade relationships and contributing to regional economic prosperity.
