Turkey’s trade with Africa continues to grow, reaching $1.5 billion in exports in January, showcasing strong economic ties and increasing demand for Turkish products. According to the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly, North African markets played a key role, accounting for 67% of total exports to the continent.

 

Egypt led the way, importing $256.3 million worth of goods, followed by Morocco at $225.3 million and Libya at $186.5 million. These figures reflect the deepening trade relationships between Turkey and its African partners, fostering economic collaboration and new business opportunities.

 

Among the top-performing sectors, chemicals and chemical products stood out, generating $178.7 million in exports. The growing trade volume highlights Turkey’s ability to meet market demands across diverse industries, reinforcing its position as a key trading partner in Africa.

 

With a strong foundation for future expansion, Turkey’s commitment to trade development in Africa is expected to bring continued growth and mutual economic benefits.
