Vietnam has reported a steady increase in rice exports for the first two months of 2024, according to recent government data released on Thursday.

In January and February, Vietnam exported a total of 912,000 metric tons of rice, marking a modest 2.1% increase compared to the same period last year. The General Statistics Office further revealed that the revenue from rice exports during this period surged by 35.2%, reaching $639 million.

This positive trend reflects Vietnam’s continued presence and competitiveness in the global rice market. Despite challenges and fluctuations in international trade dynamics, Vietnam’s rice industry remains resilient, contributing to the country’s economic growth and stability.

As one of the leading rice exporters in the world, Vietnam’s performance in the rice market serves as a testament to its ability to adapt to changing market conditions and maintain a strong foothold in the global trade arena.
