Vietnam and New Zealand have elevated their bilateral relations with the signing of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, focusing on expanding economic collaboration, trade, and investment.

As part of this agreement, both nations will develop a joint plan of action over the next year to enhance cooperation in key sectors, including political engagement, defense security, ocean governance, climate change, science and technology, and education. This strengthened partnership aims to create more opportunities for businesses and drive sustainable economic growth.

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon formalized the agreement during his visit to Vietnam, marking 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

“Vietnam is a rising economic powerhouse in Asia, and this partnership reinforces New Zealand’s commitment to expanding trade and investment opportunities in this crucial market,” Luxon stated.

The enhanced cooperation is expected to provide a robust platform for business engagement, innovation exchange, and economic development, benefiting both nations.
