The United Arab Emirates has joined a U.S.-led program, Pax Silica, designed to secure AI and semiconductor supply chains, signaling a new phase of strong economic cooperation between the two countries. The initiative also brings together strategic partners including Australia, Britain, Israel, Japan, Qatar, Singapore, and South Korea.

U.S. officials praised the UAE as a comprehensive partner capable of contributing across critical areas of the supply chain—logistics, industrial capacity, and capital and energy resources. This collaboration is expected to enhance trade efficiency, foster technology exchange, and support the UAE’s growth as a global hub for AI and innovation.

The UAE has already made significant investments in AI infrastructure, including a multibillion-dollar data center hub in Abu Dhabi built with advanced U.S. technology. These efforts demonstrate the country’s commitment to driving innovation while strengthening international trade and investment opportunities.

The partnership is also expected to advance global supply chain resilience, encouraging further cooperation in semiconductors, critical minerals, and AI-driven industries. Upcoming ministerial meetings in Washington will provide additional opportunities to expand collaboration and reinforce economic ties.
