Raimondo, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, held a significant meeting with Brazil’s Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services, Geraldo Alckmin, during her inaugural official visit to Brazil. Secretary Raimondo highlighted her role as co-chair of the U.S.-Brazil CEO Forum, emphasizing the critical importance of collaborative endeavors involving the private sectors of both nations. This collaboration aims to drive progress and positive outcomes for workers and citizens in both countries.
During the meeting, Secretary Raimondo provided updates on historic U.S. investments in semiconductors and clean energy supply chains. She also highlighted potential areas for collaboration, underlining the Department of Commerce’s unwavering commitment to advancing opportunities for enhanced bilateral trade and investment.
These efforts will be facilitated through the U.S.-Brazil CEO Forum and the U.S.-Brazil Commercial Dialogue, showcasing the dedication of both nations to fostering economic growth and cooperation.
