Jovin Joseph Rutta, serving as the Trade Sales Officer at United Bank for Africa (Tanzania), is a distinguished banking professional with over four years of experience in the industry. His journey in banking commenced with a humble beginning as a volunteer in bank product sales, from which he ascended to his current role, specializing in mobilizing trade business and maximizing trade profitability across the country. Jovin’s academic credentials are impressive, holding a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Investment from Ardhi University, a Master of Science in Finance and Investment from the Institute of Accountancy Arusha, and a certification as a Certified Public Banker by the Tanzania Institute of Bankers, governed by the Central Bank of Tanzania.

 

Jovin’s career is marked by his contributions to significant banking initiatives, including the development of trade products tailored for the oil and gas industry, emphasizing financing imports through Letters of Credit. One of his proudest professional accomplishments is his involvement in managing the financing facility for the Mwalimu Nyerere Hydroelectric Power Dam project, a landmark electricity project in East and Central Africa.

 

Throughout his tenure in the banking sector, Jovin has witnessed and contributed to its evolution, particularly through digital innovations that streamline processes and enhance customer service.
