Ella Cheong is recognised as one of the best woman lawyers in Asia. As an esteemed member of the International Trade Council, Ella is a pioneer in Asia in IP practice and is respected worldwide with 100+ professional awards to date voted by many peers and clients.
In 2018, Ella became the very first Asian woman to be inducted into the global prestigious IAM IP Hall of Fame, an award in recognition for her enormous contribution to the development of IP laws. Ella was also selected as the Most Influential Woman in Patent and Trademark Law (Hong Kong) by Acquisition International Excellence Awards 2018.
Ella is featured annually in numerous IP publications, such as the World Intellectual Property Review, IAM 1000, Managing IP, Who’s Who Legal, Asian Legal Business, Legal 100 Asia, Legal 500 Asia Pacific, and Global Law Experts. Ella’s influence in the IP community extends globally through her memberships in various international organisations, such as being the Founding President of the Hong Kong Group of APAA, Life Founder Member of the Asian Anti-Counterfeit Association, Member of Honour of AIPPI, FICPI, and the Hong Kong Law Society.
