Vietnamese wheat flour products have successfully passed stringent examinations for export to Taiwan (China), marking a significant milestone for Vietnamese enterprises.

After a comprehensive evaluation lasting over 17 months, the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) has concluded its inspection process, giving the green light for Vietnamese wheat flour products to enter the Taiwanese market.

The Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei facilitated discussions with Taiwan’s Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) regarding the examination procedures. Recently, the office received Communication No. 1132003749 dated July 4, 2024, from TFDA, confirming the successful completion of the inspection.

According to TFDA’s communication, based on Vietnam’s management and inspection protocols for enterprises producing wheat flour products, coupled with relevant documentation, the TFDA has finalized its evaluation and officially closed the case.

TFDA has requested Vietnam to continue conducting regular inspections on wheat flour products destined for Taiwan, emphasizing the importance of maintaining robust food safety and hygiene standards throughout the export process.

This development underscores Vietnam’s commitment to adhering to international food safety standards and ensuring the quality of its exported goods to Taiwan.
