China has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering peace and regional cooperation by encouraging constructive dialogue between Thailand and Cambodia regarding their recent border concerns. This development was shared during the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting in Malaysia, highlighting the importance of diplomacy in maintaining regional harmony and supporting cross-border economic growth.

China expressed its willingness to play a constructive and impartial role, supporting efforts that ensure stability in the region—an essential foundation for advancing trade and investment. By promoting peaceful coexistence, China aims to help create a more secure and business-friendly environment that benefits not only Thailand and Cambodia but the broader ASEAN region as well.

In addition to advocating for dialogue, discussions also focused on strengthening regional security to combat cross-border crimes, such as fraud and smuggling. These initiatives are aligned with broader goals of creating a trustworthy and safe trading corridor across Southeast Asia.

China further emphasized its confidence in the region’s ability to address global economic challenges and safeguard collective interests, reinforcing ASEAN’s role as a key trade and investment partner in the Asia-Pacific.
