Between January and October 2024, Chile’s total exports reached $79.96 billion, a 0.9% increase compared to the same period in 2023. October alone contributed $8.72 billion, marking a 12.2% year-over-year increase, according to data from ProChile and the National Customs Service.

Fresh fruit exports emerged as a standout performer, achieving a record-breaking $5.25 billion—a 20.5% increase over 2023. This surge surpassed the prior growth record of 20.3% set in 2022, showcasing Chile’s ability to meet rising global demand with high-quality produce.

China remains Chile’s top export destination, with fresh fruit shipments totaling $2.19 billion, a 26.6% growth over last year. The United States followed closely, importing $1.21 billion in Chilean fruit, reflecting an 11.9% rise. Brazil also saw extraordinary growth, with imports surging by 71.1% to $209 million.

This achievement underscores Chile’s success in leveraging its agricultural expertise to strengthen trade ties and meet the needs of international markets. The robust performance reaffirms the country’s position as a key player in global trade, highlighting the potential of its fresh fruit industry as a driver of economic growth.
