The trade partnership between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan reached a remarkable milestone in 2024, with a bilateral trade turnover of $393.8 million from January to October, reflecting an impressive 38.7% growth compared to the previous year. This surge underscores the strong and growing economic collaboration between the two nations.

Azerbaijan’s exports to Kazakhstan rose by 23.2%, reaching $107.7 million, showcasing the country’s capacity to deliver high-quality products, particularly in the agricultural sector. Kazakhstan’s exports to Azerbaijan also surged by 45.6%, totaling $286 million, further strengthening this mutually beneficial trade relationship.

A key contributor to this growth was the dynamic exchange of agricultural goods. Azerbaijan’s exports included a vibrant selection of fresh produce such as potatoes, apples, pears, apricots, hazelnuts, cherries, strawberries, and persimmons. These products not only highlight the richness of Azerbaijan’s agricultural sector but also its ability to meet the demand for high-value goods in the region.

This flourishing trade relationship represents a vital component of Azerbaijan’s broader economic activity, which reached $39.4 billion in total trade turnover during the first ten months of 2024. With non-oil exports contributing $2.8 billion, the country’s commitment to diversifying its trade portfolio and fostering regional partnerships is evident.

The continued expansion of trade between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan underscores the potential for deeper economic ties and paves the way for further growth in regional trade collaboration.
