Leading the investment charge are Australian data center operators AirTrunk and NextDC, with plans to allocate approximately 11 billion ringgit and 3 billion ringgits respectively. Additionally, miner Lynas Rare Earths aims to expand its investments in Malaysia. Anwar shared these insights during his visit to Australia this week, as conveyed by Bernama. Anwar highlighted that these potential investments have the potential to generate job opportunities for approximately 1,200 skilled workers in Malaysia. Separately, Malaysia’s International Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz informed broadcaster CNBC that government officials engaged with 20 Australian companies during the trip, resulting in eight firms committing investments totaling about A$5.2 billion ($3.38 billion) thus far.
