Thailand is reinforcing its position as a leading agricultural exporter by enhancing safety measures for key fruit shipments. With the harvest season approaching, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, led by Minister Narumon Pinyosinwat, is ensuring that durian, longan, and mango exports meet the highest international standards.

Stricter regulations, including advanced chemical residue testing, pest inspections, and enhanced sanitation protocols, are being implemented to further improve product quality. These measures will strengthen Thailand’s reputation in global trade, ensuring that its agricultural exports remain competitive in international markets.

To support durian exports, Thailand has expanded laboratory testing capacity with 13 specialized facilities capable of analyzing 3,000 samples daily. This investment in quality control enhances food safety and provides greater confidence to international buyers.

The 2025 fruit production forecast indicates strong yields in Thailand’s eastern and northern regions, driven by favorable weather conditions. With increased production and reinforced safety measures, Thailand is well-positioned to expand its agricultural exports, meeting the growing global demand for high-quality fresh produce.
