Siddhant Pandey – Member of the Business Council for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
Siddhant Pandey is the Chair and CEO of Business Oxygen (BO2), Nepal's first international private equity fund focused on climate financing. With more than 30 years of experience in banking, finance, and investment, Siddhant has been a pivotal figure in introducing private equity to Nepal. He has played a leading role in shaping the financial sector by establishing a development bank and a capital market division, demonstrating his deep commitment to the country's economic development.
Siddhant’s academic background includes a BA from Virginia Tech (USA) and an MSc from Bristol University (UK). He has also completed executive programs in global finance at the London School of Economics and climate financing at Oxford University. His professional milestones include managing Nepal’s largest IPO at the time and being the first to convert a finance company into a development bank. He also pioneered the creation of Nepal's first climate-focused international private equity fund and served as the first elected Chairperson of the Nepal Private Equity Association (NPEA).
In addition to his leadership at BO2, Siddhant is a member of the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Business Council and the International Trade Council. Through these roles, he actively promotes sustainable investment strategies and engages with the global business community. Siddhant is optimistic about the future of private equity in Nepal, particularly in areas such as renewable energy, green financing, and AI-integrated ICT platforms.
