Lorraine O’Connor is the General Manager of C15 Studios Ltd., a pioneering company offering financing solutions for the creative sector across the Caribbean. With over 30 years of experience in the creative and entertainment industry, Lorraine has built an impressive career as a film producer, event manager, and artist manager. She is a key member of the Venture Capital Council and Women in International Trade under the International Trade Council, where she contributes her extensive expertise to global business development initiatives.

 

Her professional journey includes working with some of the Caribbean’s most iconic talents, including being part of the management teams for Machel Montano and Nailah Blackman. Lorraine has served as a line producer on the feature film Bazodee and as a fixer for internationally acclaimed productions like CBS’s Amazing Race and Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown in Trinidad & Tobago. Notably, she played a crucial role in Calypso Rose’s Grammy-winning journey in France and produced unforgettable shows like Machel Monday, which are celebrated as some of the Caribbean’s best events.

 

Lorraine’s creative portfolio extends beyond music and film. She managed fashion shows for Meiling, an iconic Caribbean designer, and curated fashion events for prominent international gatherings, such as the Summit of the Americas and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in 2009. Early in her career, she helped take the Pamberi Steel Orchestra to Europe, further highlighting her commitment to showcasing Caribbean talent on the global stage.

 

Through her career, Lorraine has witnessed the exponential growth of Caribbean creative talents and their profound impact on global culture. She remains optimistic about the industry’s trajectory, envisioning tremendous growth and high returns for those who remain persistent. Despite challenges like financing and corporate buy-in, Lorraine continues to champion innovative projects, leveraging her skills in organization, diligence, and thoroughness.

 

Outside of her professional life, Lorraine is a certified aromatherapist with her own brand, Infuse Pure Therapy. She enjoys reading, writing, yoga, meditation, and exploring nature. She finds inspiration in iconic figures like Machel Montano, Bob Marley, Derek Walcott, and Rihanna, drawing from their visionary contributions to culture and creativity.
