Throughout her career, Linda has spearheaded key projects and initiatives, including serving as the Chairman of the Academic Board of the Institute of Export & International trade and acting as an Internationalisation Specialist for Innovate UK Edge. She is also the Founder of International Trade Matters, further solidifying her reputation as a leader in the industry.

Linda worked for the Manufacturing Advisory Service for 10 years, a service bringing Lean, Six Sigma, and Triz methodologies to British SMEs. She was the author and analyst of the Manufacturing Barometer, a quarterly survey quoted at Davos and recorded in Hansard. Recognized by Manufacturing Europe as an Expert in Lean, her article on TPM was published, showcasing her expertise. She uses Lean Manufacturing (10 years of learning and application) and her International Trade training and qualifications (20+ years) to create a service predicated on both disciplines. Recently, she has added the art of Sensemaking to enhance her company's expertise and services.

Linda recognizes the evolving landscape of international trade, with advancements in digitization and the emergence of new challenges such as climate change and conflict. She envisions a future characterized by increased digitization, the adoption of Single Trade Windows, and greater support for small businesses navigating global markets.

Despite the challenges she faces, Linda remains resilient, relying on her passion for her work and the occasional indulgence in chocolate to overcome setbacks. She draws inspiration from industry pioneers like Lesley Batchelor and Cartimandua, whose leadership and vision have paved the way for others in the field.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Linda enjoys indulging her passion for buying and selling ethnic antiques and collectibles, finding beauty and inspiration in the artifacts of different cultures. Linda Middleton-Jones stands as a beacon of innovation and empowerment in the international trade community, dedicated to driving positive change and fostering greater global connectivity.
