SINGAPORE / NORTHERN ARC — The International Trade Council (ITC) has officially announced the appointment of Damian Mohammed, Partner at Northern Arc Partners, as the Chapter Leader for the newly defined Northern Arc region. This newly established chapter encompasses key economic corridors across the North of England, including the Liverpool City Region, Cheshire and Warrington, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, West Yorkshire, and South Yorkshire.

 

The appointment marks a significant step forward in the ITC’s mission to support regional businesses by facilitating smoother cross-border trade and introducing local enterprises to international markets. Northern Arc Partners, under Mr. Mohammed’s leadership, will serve as a vital bridge between the region’s diverse industrial sectors and the ITC’s global network of trade professionals and investment agencies.

About Damian Mohammed
Damian is the driving force behind Northern Arc Partners, bringing together the innovation ecosystems of the North of England. With deep roots in the Northern science, tech and innovation community, he is on a mission to connect the region’s fragmented strengths into a unified corridor that can compete globally.

 

He is a strategic leader with over twenty years of experience in economic development, inward investment, and venture capital. His career is defined by a commitment to dismantling regional silos and bridging the gap between university research and commercial scalability.

 

Alongside his role at Northern Arc Partners, Damian serves as the Acting Chairperson for the Northern Arc Chapter of the International Trade Council (ITC). In this strategic capacity, he is formally authorised to lead the organisation’s growth, visibility, and international trade engagements across Liverpool City Region, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Warrington, Lancashire, West Yorkshire, and South Yorkshire, facilitating cross-border cooperation to drive sustainable investment into the North.

 

Prior to founding Northern Arc Partners, Damian served as Investment Director for GC Angels and led the expansion of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult across the North West. His background includes driving significant international investment from India, China, and the US during a tenure in London, providing him with a global perspective on regional growth.

 

Damian currently holds several key advisory and board positions that ensure Northern Arc Partners remains grounded in genuine regional representation, including a member of Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Health and Life Science Cluster Board and the Growth Company Business Support and Finance Advisory Board.
