Kwabena Abotreye serves as the Senior Project Development Officer for the Elizka Relief Foundation, a Ghanaian non-governmental organisation dedicated to capacity building, human empowerment, and sustainable development. In this capacity, Mr Abotreye is responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and implementation of research-driven field interventions. His work focuses on expanding socio-economic and environmental self-determination for vulnerable demographics, particularly women and youth, across Ghana.

His responsibilities encompass managing projects related to environmental conservation, nature-based land reclamation in areas affected by illegal mining, climate-smart agriculture, and aquaculture. Founded in 2000 and officially registered in 2007, the Elizka Relief Foundation is a non-governmental organisation headquartered at the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development Campus in Tanoso, Kumasi, Ghana. Operating in the non-profit and humanitarian sectors, the foundation focuses on sustainable development, digital connectivity, and economic empowerment. It has held Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2015, and holds accredited observer status with multiple global bodies, including the United Nations Environment Programme and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

At the International Trade Council Global Convocation & Leadership Forum in London, Mr Abotreye aims to address grassroots economic enfranchisement and sustainable trade. By establishing connections with global partners, he intends to foster international collaborations that support resilient, non-exploitative trade relationships and enhance market access for emerging economies.
