José R. Gener serves as the President & CEO of Jetcan Aviation Group Inc., a distinguished member of the Logistics and Transportation Business Council within the International Trade Council. With a wealth of experience and expertise in civil aviation, José leads Jetcan Aviation in providing comprehensive charter flight management services for a diverse range of clientele.

 

Jetcan Aviation specializes in managing charter flights for commercial, private/VIP customers, companies, sports teams, tour operators, travel agencies, air-ambulances, humanitarian aid, cargo, and helicopter charters. With a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, the company offers brokerage services for handling, catering, technical services, accommodation, and ground transportation for both crews and passengers. José’s journey in the civil aviation industry began in 1985 when he embarked on his studies specializing in Aircraft Navigation and Electrical Systems. With over 30 years of experience in aviation security (AVSEC), airport/airline operations, commercial services, and charter flight management, José has established himself as a respected figure in the industry.

 

Throughout his career, José has been involved in numerous key projects and initiatives contributing to his success in business. Notable accomplishments include managing air transportation for health personnel on humanitarian aid missions and government officials, as well as participating in a project to create a regional airline providing commercial, private, and cargo charter services.

 

José takes immense pride in his professional achievements, particularly in his role overseeing the planning and coordination of ground security services for humanitarian missions and managing and training local security personnel who provided services to the flights of American Airlines, when began operations to international airports at a destination in the Caribbean, where the airline had special security requirements.

 

Reflecting on the industry’s evolution, José highlights advancements in aircraft construction technologies, airport infrastructures, and security technologies for passenger and cargo inspection points. However, he acknowledges challenges such as increased demand for air transportation and the need for more efficient and environmentally friendly technologies and fuels.
