Haruna Suleman-Nylander, serving as the General Manager of Green Action Ghana Limited, stands as a dynamic leader in the agricultural industry with a steadfast commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. As a valued member of the International Trade Council’s Business Council on Emerging Markets and Sustainability and Environment, Haruna brings a wealth of expertise and innovation to the forefront of agribusiness and international trade.
Under his supervision and innovation, the Green Action was able to develop a specialised product by name “KOMBO BUTTER”. This they produced from the African nutmeg, scientifically known as Pycnanthus angolensis. Kombo butter is a special product, that is applied in pharmaceutical industries for the treatment of arthritis, inflammation, gout, muscle, joint, and other sports-related pains. Green Action is looking to partner with interested pharmaceutical companies for possible collaboration on this product “KOMBO PROJECT”.
Green Action Ghana Limited operates at the intersection of agriculture and international trade, specializing in agribusiness ventures and exports. With a focus on promoting sustainable farming practices and ensuring food safety and quality, the company plays a pivotal role in meeting the growing demand for healthy and safe food products.
Haruna’s journey into the industry began with a deep-rooted passion for agriculture and a strong network of international contacts. Armed with a diploma in General Agriculture and extensive training in farm business management, Haruna further honed his skills through strategic management certification at the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands, as well as academic pursuits culminating in a Bachelor of Business Administration. Additionally, he pursued his MBA with the Australian Institute of Business (AIB).
Throughout his career, Haruna has spearheaded key projects and initiatives that have contributed to the success of Green Action Ghana Limited. Notable accomplishments include the design, development, and implementation of projects for the production of lye and organic Baobab fruit powder and seed oil, catering to the needs of discerning consumers both locally and internationally.
As a family man, Haruna also cherishes spending quality time with his family when he has to take a break from work. His interests span art, culture, history, gardening, travel, and community service, reflecting his multifaceted approach to life and deep appreciation for biodiversity.
