Dr. Tola Sunday Yusuf is a Founding Partner and Co-Founder of Infratel Africa, where he leads the organisation’s strategic growth, business development, and operations. With over two decades of experience spanning engineering, business, and project management, Dr. Yusuf has spearheaded the acquisition of telecommunications assets valued at over 400 million USD. He also oversees the management of network infrastructure services with an annual value exceeding 7.5 million USD.

 

He holds a Doctor of Business Administration and has completed executive programmes at Harvard Business School and the Paris School of Business. Dr. Yusuf is a Certified Management Consultant, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a Fellow of both the Institute of Credit Administration and the Institute of Management Consultants. Recognised as one of the 50 Most Valuable Personalities in Nigeria’s Digital Economy in 2024 and 2025, he is a prominent advocate for open-access digital infrastructure, emphasizing that sustainable connectivity is an intrinsic driver of progress.

 

Under his leadership, Infratel Africa secured a regional fibre infrastructure licence for Nigeria’s South-South region and a Mobile Virtual Network Operator licence from the Nigerian Communications Commission. In September 2026, he spearheaded a partnership with NuRAN Wireless to launch a pilot evaluating Starlink’s LEO satellite service as a backhaul solution, demonstrating his commitment to innovative, high-impact connectivity technologies.

Infratel Limited, trading as Infratel Africa, is a Nigeria-based provider of integrated telecommunications and power infrastructure solutions. Headquartered in Lagos, the company specialises in expanding digital connectivity and bridging the digital divide, particularly in underserved and unserved rural communities across Africa. Operating in the telecommunications infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, Infratel Africa deploys tower facilities, co-location services, Radio Access Network solutions, and backhaul services.
