Dr. Fares Lubbadeh, the esteemed CEO of SpaceTech TV Engineering, stands as a vanguard in the Television & Radio Broadcasting industry, steering his company to the forefront of technical consultation, systems design, and the implementation of broadcasting facilities. With an illustrious career that began after earning his Ph.D. in Television Engineering in 1978, Dr. Lubbadeh has dedicated his vast expertise to revolutionizing broadcasting technologies and infrastructures, first within the Jordan Radio & Television Corporation (JRTV) and subsequently at Arab Radio & TV (ART), before founding SpaceTech TV Engineering in 2005. In the years 2014 / 2015  Dr. Lubbadeh acted as managing director of ATG Middle East formed in partnership with ATG Danmon UK.

 

Armed with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Telecommunications/Radio & Television, followed by a Ph.D., Dr. Lubbadeh’s academic foundation has been the bedrock for his innovative contributions to the broadcasting field. His work has spanned across ground breaking projects, including the establishing of Multi  Channel  Playout  Centres for ART in Italy and Jordan, the upgrading of satellite bouquet on Badr4 in Bahrain, and the transformation of studios to HDTV in Jordan, among others.

 

Dr. Lubbadeh’s professional journey is decorated with significant accomplishments. Notably, his leadership roles within the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) have underscored his influence in shaping broadcasting standards and practices. His election as Chairman of the Arab HDTV & Beyond Group in 2022 further cements his position as a thought leader in the industry.

 

Dr. Lubbadeh published technical papers & provided presentations at conferences of ITS,IBC,WEMF II, Broadcast Asia & Cabsat, and participates in the activities of ASBU, ABU & IBC where he was an IBC Council member for a number of years.

 

Over the decades, Dr. Lubbadeh has witnessed and contributed to the industry’s evolution from analogue to digital, embracing the advent of Pay TV, VOD, OTT, and streaming technologies. Today, he identifies the integration of Artificial Intelligence and the utilization of 5G as the forefront challenges, predicting a future where broadcasting, communications, and IT converge more seamlessly.

 

Excited by the prospects of Extended Reality (XR), Streaming, Ultra High Definition TV, and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Lubbadeh encourages newcomers to the industry to cultivate strong business relationships and to approach setbacks with perseverance and dedication.
