UAE has Effectively Closed its Borders for Two Weeks

As part of the preventive and precautionary measures taken to contain the spread of COVID-19, UAE authorities have announced that effective today March 19, UAE Nationals are not be permitted to leave the UAE and holders of UAE residence visas are not allowed to enter the UAE (exceptions apply).

This comes in addition to the suspension of issuance of all entry visas to the UAE including those visitors from countries eligible for visa issuance on arrival, except passport holders from GCC countries and those holding diplomatic passports.

All expatriates with residence visas travelling back to UAE from vacation or business travels will need to contact the UAE diplomatic mission in their respective host countries for all necessary support to facilitate their return to the UAE.

We advise all our clients to check with your airline prior to any travel and to contact Hensley&Cook team if this new announcement affects you directly, let us assist you with a necessary arrangement or advise you on the latest updates and procedure.
