Localization / Translation

The Council, via its accredited service providers, is able to provide members with professional translation services as well as language training and assistance in more than 120 languages.

The Council works with a global team of localization experts who can assist in successfully communicating local end-users.  Native speakers with specialist subject matter expertise are assigned to each and very assignment providing translations in over 120 languages.

While most translation service is provided electronically (eMail and/or fax), the Council can also facilitate interpreters for telephone conferences, simultaneous translation, press conferences,  in-person meetings and events.


Council translators have a minimum of five years of professional experience translating to/from their native language (mother tongue), and many have cultivated specialised skills in industries such as: Immigration, Certified Translation, Legal, Market Research, Press Release, Gaming, Industrial, Marketing and Human Resources (HR).

The Council’s translation service is designed to help organisations do the following:

  • Speak to the intended audience not only in their native tongue, but using terms that they will understand
  • Guarantee consistency in brand voice, style, and look-and-feel
  • Enhance the control of content for regulatory compliance
  • Safeguard the security of source and translated content
  • Communicate seamlessly with international audiences

Most projects are estimated on a case-by-case basis. The price for each particular project depends on the following criteria: volume and turnaround time. There are significant volume discounts, community discounts, of course, discounts for Council members.

No matter how complex the project is, you are usually provided with a free estimate within an hour.


We aim to create long-term relationships with our clients. We understand that our clients value their privacy, particularly when it comes to personal or confidential business documents. Therefore, we take maximum precautions to secure the safety and security of all client documents. We do not share any client information or documentation with anyone, ever. Our translators are held to strict nondisclosure agreements and viewing of documents is limited to a need-to-know basis.

The health and safety of our staff and contractors are of paramount importance. As such all ITC staff have been advised to work from home until the 15th of May and avoid all non-essential travel. This may reduce accessibility of staff via phone but, pending individual internet issues, most trade commissioners should be accessible via email. The Council’s IT infrastructure systems are redundant and we use tried and tested collaborative tools that allow full remote working for all staff and contractors.

All webinars, conferences and trade missions are temporarily paused and are being re-scheduled for August / September 2020. Final dates will be advised shortly.
All accounting functions and non-trade-related functions are temporarily paused for the home quarantine period.
