Interview with Dominique Tinkler at Mitchell Group

Q: Dominique, Can you please tell us a bit about yourself personally and professionally.

As an accomplished skincare guru, I presently work for Mitchell Group, located in Miami Florida. A dedicated professional with 4 decades of hands-on knowledge in the cosmetic skincare industry, I continuously develop and promote high performance skincare lines that rejuvenate, repair and deliver powerful anti-aging results.
As the Copywriter and Education Director for Mitchell Group, my wealth of skin care knowledge has led me to assist consumers’ needs with the latest skincare advances and innovations.

Q: Imagine that you met someone in an elevator and was asked to explain Mitchell Group in 30 seconds or less… Can you give us a 2 sentence ‘elevator pitch’ about your business and what you do?

Mitchell Group is known as the leader specializing in brightening/lightening skincare products that target uneven skin tone, dark spots, dull skin and hyperpigmentation. Our high quality skincare products are specifically created to restore instant glowing skin, regardless of age or skin condition.

Armed with this knowledge, I am deeply committed to guiding consumers on the right path to achieving clear, toned, healthy, ageless skin.

Q: How did you get started in this business?

I originally began my career as a nurse, working alongside a prominent cosmetic dermatologist for 15 years. Taking it a step further, I took a personal interest in working closely with chemists from Cosmetic Dermatology Inc. continuously sharpening my knowledge of skincare ingredients while successfully refining and developing new innovative products for the eponymous dr. brandt skincare line. This extensive knowledge led me to manage and execute all corporate US and Global education and training initiatives which eventually led me to become spokesperson for their US and International markets.

Q: Can you describe your customers / what type of customers does Mitchell Group have?

Our customers have an urgent need to fade discoloration and are looking for high potency formulas that repair and enhance skin tone and clarity. We offer targeted treatments that help our customers to achieve an over-all more even, radiant and healthy looking complexion, without the need for a prescription or a doctor’s appointment.

Our market consists mostly of African Americans, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, Indian and Asian.

Q: What are some of your “keys to success” in building your customer base?

Our key to success is word of mouth and supporting consumers around the clock on phone lines and our website, which instantly provides answers to their specific skincare questions as well as tailored skin care regimens. In my eyes, “it’s all about addressing their skincare concerns with the best skincare solutions to achieve flawless and age-less skin.”

For over 50 years, we have had global recognition in the marketplace as one of our top selling brands, Fair & White, continues to exceed our goals.

Q: Is there anything about your business that you feel makes it special?

What makes Mitchell Group special is our strength in education. We provide in-store trainings and support retailers with in-store promotions and provide educational collateral material.  Our marketing department has scheduled magazine editorials, advertisements and company truck banners that run throughout the year.

Q: What kind of technology advances do you see that will likely affect this sector over the coming few years?

Consumers today are living longer and want to remain looking younger for longer, therefore our quality skincare products are true to our skincare philosophy while fitting for today’s active consumers. All Mitchell formulas reflect the latest scientific discoveries with experts in the field of dermatology and anti-aging research. Our high potency formulas are the results of in-depth research and are selected from the latest innovative ingredients available in the market.

Q: Where do you see your business in the next year? In the next five years? In the next ten years?
