Ankara, Turkey. 8th Feb 2018. The International Trade Council (www.tradecouncil.org), today announced that the Board of Directors has named Mr. Sinan Bedir as the Council’s new Chairperson for Turkey.
Mr. Bedir started his professional life working for Turkish Telephone, with stints at PTT (now Turkish Telecom) and, later, Turksat Satellite. In 2000 he left his job and established Simet Technologies Inc where he has been working as a board chairman and co-founder. His company is leading supplier of telecommunications and information technology related equipment and is TSE, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 10002 and OHSAS 18001 accredited.
Mr. Bedir has a degree in Electronics Engineering from the Ankara University Kırıkkale Vocational High School Electronical Department. He is married and a father of two sons.
Ms Melanie Walker, the Council’s Member Chairperson, expressed confidence in the Board’s choice stating “Sinan has demonstrated strong leadership, integrity and flexibility in his own business activities. He is a well-known business professional and has a proven ability to understand complexities and generate creative solutions for businesses across a range of industries. We look forward to Sinan continuing to make significant contributions in his new position as we further strengthen our activities in Turkey.”
