Event Details

Alex Golledge, Agent for Yorkshire and the Humber, will be joining us for the next lecture in the Leeds Business School series.

Introduced by Richard Gregory OBE, Alex will cover the Bank’s central scenario for the economy and some of the key drivers affecting the outlook – both UK and global – as well as the principal challenges for corporate cash flow and the capacity of the financial system to respond and mitigate those challenges. Attendees are encouraged to share their own views and insights

Alex Golledge
Alex was appointed Agent for Yorkshire and Humber in November 2020, having joined the Bank’s Agency network in 2010 as Deputy Agent for the South East and East Anglia. Alex started his career at the Bank in 1998 and has worked in a number of analytical areas prior to joining the network, including roles in Monetary Analysis, Markets and Statistics.

Unusually Alex has been inducted into the Bank twice during his career, once as a school leaver following his A-levels and then again in 2002 as a graduate upon the completion of a Bank sponsored BA in Economics.

Richard Gregory OBE
Richard Greogry OBE is Senior Advisor at Virgin Money UK with a particular focus on supporting the development of Virgin Money Business. Richard is a former senior independent director and Risk Committee Chair of CYBG Plc and first joined the boards of the Yorkshire and Clydesdale banks in 2000. Chair of the specialist lender Together Personal Finance and Chair Designate of Places for People Ltd, one of the largest providers of affordable housing in the UK.
