At the ASEAN-GCC Summit held in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia's Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim, unveiled a groundbreaking proposal for the creation of a free trade agreement (FTA) between the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
