Azerbaijan is celebrating a remarkable achievement in its agricultural trade, with strawberry exports from January to July 2024 reaching 19,749 tons and generating an impressive $25.212 million in revenue. This significant growth, both in volume and value, highlights the country’s expanding presence in the international market, with exports increasing by 12% or 2,149 tons and revenue rising by 5% or $1.121 million compared to the same period last year.
In the first seven months of 2023, Azerbaijan exported 17,599 tons of strawberries valued at $24.9 million. The average export price per kilogram in early 2024 was recorded at 2.12 manats, showing a slight decrease of 0.16 manats (6.7%) from the previous year’s price of 2.33 manats.
This positive trend in strawberry exports underscores Azerbaijan's commitment to enhancing its agricultural sector and further solidifies its role in global trade. The country’s ability to produce high-quality strawberries positions it for continued success in international markets.
